SWIX takes a closer look at the NBA Finals


The undying passion, lust and desire that SWIX software developer Mike Grouchy has for Kobe Bryant surprises and delights me everyday.  He even claims he could possibly be more in love with Kobe than the now famous fan who became a YouTube sensation based solely on his similar undeniable infatuation for Kobe Bryant.  As Mike updates me on the regular of the LA Lakers and their pursuit for their 14th championship trophy, and I got to thinking; which franchise has the best online game; or social media chops?

Using SWIX I set up campaigns for each the Eastern and Western conference finalists: LA Lakers, Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics, and finally Orlando Magic. Over the next 2 weeks I will be able to gather metrics from social media platforms that these clubs are using; such as team and player Twitter accounts, Facebook Fan Pages, Flickr groups and Official YouTube Channels.  What SWIX is going to allow me to do is analyze the impact of the success or failure of each team to their social media activities.  Who knows, maybe the biggest loser of the finals will be the biggest online winner?  Let the games begin!
